Back to Work Notice
by Dr. Mark Pasternak
Dear Friends:
As many of you know by now, the Ministry of Health has allowed dental offices to open for all services. We at Etobicoke Dental Care are thrilled to be able to once again serve our patients! There are many guidelines and protocols put in place by the Ministry and our college, the RCDS but I am holding our office to higher standards than the latest guidelines require. To this end, we are eyeing a June 22 hard opening. This is to give us time to complete the office physical changes I want in place as well as to train our staff fully on all protocols. We intend to be assured, confident, and thorough in all of our procedures once we begin seeing our patients again. We want everyone to be safe.
Some things you can expect:
- Telephone screening of our patients when appointments are scheduled, and confirmed.
- Emails and texts will be sent to patients with links to screening forms which need to be filled out by every patient coming into the office.
- Enhanced entry and exit protocols for patients. You will receive information on these protocols prior to your appointment.
- Temperature checks on all incoming patients and accompanying guests.
- Twice daily staff screening checks.
- Enhanced infection control procedures.
- Enhanced office airflow and filtration.
- Operatory isolation by placing doors on all operatories.
In the coming weeks we will be contacting patients about upcoming appointments as well as going through the backlog of cancelled appointments from the past three months. This will take time so please be patient with us. In the meantime, we are always available for emergencies, urgent care and any other concerns you may have.
Stay Safe,
Dr. Mark Pasternak
